New York (Picture)
I love living in New York City, the place is pure magic. The seasons, the smells and the functioning chaos of it all are incredible to experience day to day. I don't need a car and I can ride my bike anywhere in the city, I could go on and on about why I love this city. It's my favourite place in the world.
I love lyrics and just plain, good song writing. Artists like Jason Molina, Simon Joyner and Matthew Cothran are some of my favourites. I have a hard time working without music playing.
My girlfriend believes in me more than I do in myself. She puts up with me being in my own world most of the day and somehow embraces my many mental deficiencies. She's honestly the smartest and most fearless person I've ever met. Everyday she inspires me to be who I really am in this world.
I enjoy sitting on a bench or ledge and watching people pass. It's the easiest thing to do in New York. It's free and you can do it for hours. You see and hear things that can be completely beautiful or utterly horrific. Passing faces can tell all kinds of stories, especially if it's you who are writing them.
My dogs are two of my favourite living things. They're loving, loyal and unaffected by the worlds complexities. Wherever they go, they are completely themselves. It's a trait most humans wish they could have.
