Digital Image manipulation has certainly made life easier for a lot of photographers but aside from its professional benefits its given artists a plethora of tools that were previously unavailable. The ability to alter, distort, layer and repair has opened a whole new world of creativity. Zurich-based artist Beate Tubach balances her time between painting and photography, but there's no denying the influence each medium has on the other. From her framing to use of colours, each piece shares a common trait while maintaining its unique personality. We are particularly fond of her body of work titled 'Faces'.
