Whether we like to admit it, or not aesthetics play a huge part in beauty these days. Either consciously or unconsciously we are all forming opinions based on the way something or someone looks. Usually dictated by the societal norms of the generation we come. Located in Bolton in the North-West of England, artist Catherine Cox-Field explores imperfections revolving around scars and seeks to highlight the beauty in them. Her recent work incorporates installation, print and filmmaking drawing our attention to the fact that even in what might be considered a defect one can find beauty.
