Ian Viggars takes you on a full culinary experience below with his food inspired pop art.
"Food figures heavily in my art, but not in a 'foodie' fine dining way. With my pop art food series I want people to look at everyday foodstuff in a different light, to appreciate purely how they look from an aesthetic standpoint rather than a nutritional one.
I'm inspired by the colours of both natural and processed food, the design and typography of food packaging, and the nostalgia people associate with food. This is why comfort food and 'processed' food feature heavily in my work. I'm not judging or commenting on the nature food consumption but instead choose my subjects for their colourful aesthetic qualities.
